Celebrating one of the most celebrated Art Shows in the country
The St. James Court Art Show celebrates its 70th anniversary, and we celebrate the life and legacy one of its amazing founders, Malcolm Bird
Among his many achievements, Malcolm was a very enthusiastic amateur cellist and lover of classical music. To celebrate him, we perform a program of some of the greatest hits of cello music, including selections from the Arensky Quartet for two cellos, The Schubert Quintet for Two cellos, the amazing “Bachianas Brasileras” pieces for 8 cellos by Heitor Villa-Lobos, and Pablo Casals’ “Song of the Birds.”
